In 2024, Ron captured stunning photos and crafted captivating videos that helped us share the story of Fresh Flow Shoe Trees with the world. Who would have thought themes like the satisfying cracks of a chiropractor or the artful arrangement of ramen noodles could work so brilliantly to promote shoe care? Ron’s creativity and vision proved they absolutely can. His simple yet sophisticated style effortlessly draws attention to the subject, highlighting intricate details with elegance and grace. How did you get into sneakers/shoes/fashion: I was heavily influenced by my friends growing up, who always had pairs I was never allowed to buy. I was on the sidelines of the game until I started working and started picking up Kobes. One thing led to another, and I started building my collection. But it was a challenge from a friend to wear a different pair every day that put me on the journey of photographing my pairs. 

Some insight into your creative process: I’m always trying to find the angle or angles that best convey the essence of a given pair. Shoes look very different when you’re looking at them on your own feet compared to how others see you rocking them. I start with this and then let it flow from them. I’m usually going for a neutral background and vibe to really let the shoes be the focus. 

Favorite shoe/sneaker of all time: This is a really tough one! At the risk of sounding cliche, I’m going with the _1s_ that started it all, the Chicago Jordan 1s. Timeless and classic. The closest I’ve gotten is with the Lost and Found 1s. Love that I can rock these exposing the entire shoe or wearing pants that cover the upper. So versatile with all the history to back them. 

Favorite go-to pairs of shoes (shoes by the door): Yeezy 350 Beluga 2.0 - I can slip these on, they’re super comfortable, and I’m still rocking Yeezy these days

What shoe best embodies you and your style? New Balance 993 x Joe Freshgoods Sage. After years of resisting, I’m fully embracing dad core. These shoes are an excellent blend of comfort, moderate hype, quality materials, and the ability to match with a ton of (admittedly, elevated street wear) outfits. 

Describe your shoe care regimen: I use force fields to protect the toe box from creases. I wipe down the soles after every wear. I also do a quick wipe down of the upper if necessary. And then I make sure to place Fresh Flows inside after the cleaning stage. And I’m always checking the weather for rain to inform my footwear choice, naturally. 

Other passions/hobbies outside of shoes/sneakers/fashion: Photography, technology, and architecture. Also working on my model car collection. 

Random interesting fact about you: I make it a point to exclusively photograph and edit entirely on my mobile phone.
