We're excited to highlight Greg, known to The Kingsland Shoe Project family as @air.macs. Based in Scotland, Greg is a creator whose page feels like a true reflection of sneaker culture at ground level. On feet, lived in, and personal. With a wide ranging collection, his content celebrates sneakers as they’re meant to be worn and experienced.

What sets Greg apart is the authenticity behind his lens. His on feet shots are effortless and honest, often woven into moments with friends, his dogs, and everyday life. There’s a genuine love for Nike SBs, photography, and community that runs through his feed, making each post feel more like a snapshot of real sneaker life than a staged shoot.

We’re proud to feature Greg as part of The Kingsland Shoe Project Family and look forward to watching him continue to document sneaker culture through his collection, his relationships, and his unmistakably personal point of view.

1) How did you get into sneakers? I used to wear Air Max religiously to school as a kid (reason behind the handle) and my growing interest in sneakers came from a mix of influences. I was hooked on watching skate events (Mountain Dew Tour highlights most mornings) and took a lot of style inspiration from @PROD and @CHAZORTIZ. As I got older, I got into basketball more and family visits to Floria cemented my interests in both the sport and related fashion – back in the day it was 2USD:1GBP and with pretty big feet, there wasn’t many great options for me in UK, so it was like heaven when visiting Nike Outlets and I always came home with 5-10 pairs!

2) Favorite sneaker of all time? Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ‘720 Degrees’ for sentimental reasons 🙌

3) What are your go-to pairs? I’ve always got a few pairs of SB Dunks by the door for going gym/daily pairs – J Pack Chicago, Rayssa Leal and There Skateboard have been my go-to so far in 2026!

4) What are some of your other passions/hobbies outside of sneakers? I have too many it seems! I like to keep active with the gym and I’ve signed up for the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May for charity so running will be added to that. I’m pretty nerdy: I like to watch, read and play everything Star Wars, Gears of War and The Witcher, I collect Pokémon and I like to watch anime when I get the time. I’m passionate about photography, music and sport too! 📸

5) What’s one random interesting fact about you? I’m ambidextrous and used to play the drums (like Dale Doback)

6) Which artist or athlete do you think had the biggest impact on sneaker culture? The obvious choice would be MJ – the AJ1 literally being the sneaker that ignited culture in ‘84/85 (I wasn’t around to vouch!) and fuelled Nike’s offering from purely athletic to popular fashion. In more recent times, it’s hard to ignore the influence Kanye West had on the Adidas brand throughout 2010s and the intense pressure and effects on the rest of the industry! Personally, never owned Yeezys 🤷🏻

7) What pair in your collection always gets the most compliments? It would be a close contest between @COLORSKATES ‘Kebab & Destroy’ SB Dunk Highs and @OFFICIALLESTWINS ‘Fearless’ Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs. The @ARTSANDRECSTORE Air Trainer 1 has been getting a lot of love more so recently!

8) What advice would you give someone just getting into sneakers? Buy what you enjoy, don’t be afraid of your personal tastes changing and don’t try to fit in with social norms! Something I only really knuckled down on last year as I realised, I didn’t really connect with my collection anymore. I try trade/sell pairs to mates that I’m no longer feeling, well under-market knowing they will be appreciated. When that fails, I use secondary platforms to move on pairs to fund new ones. Also, don’t be afraid of buying slightly used pairs – the second you wear a brand new pair they lose value and if you’re like me, it’s nice knowing you can buy, enjoy and trade/sell down the line without burning a crazy hole in your pocket!
