What makes Sharmita’s journey especially powerful is the story behind it. Her love for sneakers started in childhood, sharing matching purple pairs with her father, a memory that sparked a lifelong appreciation for footwear as identity and connection. 1) How did you get into sneakers? 

My father  used to love the Lakers so purple was his favorite color to wear. One day he came home with a pair of high top deep purple Champion  sneakers for him and for me a Purple Nike Cortez to match. Thant day at the age of 8 I absolutely became a sneaker lover!

2) Favorite sneaker of all time?

My favorite sneaker of all time, that's hard because I love them all, but if I had to choose we going with one of my newest pair the Airmax 1000.2, because of the way I was able to get them, the creativity of the line and how well made it is for my foot!

3) What are your favorite go-to pairs? Shoes by your door ready to wear? 

My go to pairs are any of my Jordan 1s!

4) What are some of your other passions / hobbies outside of sneakers? 

Shopping and styling are my hobbies. My dream job would be to be able to do this full time for someone! 

5) What’s one random interesting fact about you? 

I don't like bananas but I eat them daily to make sure i get my potassiumH

6) Which artist or athlete do you think had the biggest impact on sneaker culture? 

I have to say all the men athletes in the 80s and 90s had the biggest impact all together.  From Jordan to Andre Agassi to Barkley to Bo knows to Penny Hardaway to AI to Deion and so many more. They all made sneakers a fashion statement.

7) What pair in your collection always gets the most compliments? 

My Harris Tweed Multi colored Dunks get many compliments every time I post or wear.

8) Anything else you would love to add?

Sneakers are my story, my story of when I was younger I only could afford 1 or 2 pair for the school year. Now I can buy what I want when I want, I value them more. I don't take this lightly every pair is meeeeeeee and will always tell my story!
