Let's get to know Neshawn:
1. How did you get into sneakers? Neshawn got hooked around 1998-1999 when his mom bought him a pair of Oreo 4s for basketball. He received a compliment from his sisters older and cooler BF and he was hooked. He told his mom he needed more and he asked for the Jumpman Swifts for 5th grade graduation. He even dyed his hair blue to match them and rocked a Kobe jersey to go along with the fit. Super cool for an 11 year old if you ask us.
2. Favorite sneaker of all time? Jordan 3 Black Cements.
3. What are your favorite go-to pairs? Neshawn finds himself changing this up a lot but he loves the White Cement 4s, the Cherry XIls, the Emerald Green 4s. He says if it came out that year he’ll wear them pretty often.
4. What are some of your other passions and hobbies? Neshawn loves working out, playing basketball, and tennis. He also loves going to the mall with his mom and working on his calligraphy.
5. What's one random interesting fact about you? Neshawn can eat 5 slices of pizza, any size and he has yet to be proven wrong :)
6. What pair in your collection gets the most compliments? Kobe Crazy 1s!
7. What athlete or artist do you think has had the biggest impact on sneaker culture? MJ! Michael Jordan!
8. NeShawn would like to add that the amount of pairs or what pairs you have don’t make you a sneakerhead. People in our community need to remember to be remain welcoming and kind to everyone who shares our passion. Not everyone is blessed to afford pairs or get the knowledge. It’s our to pass on.
